Transroyal Ghana Limited is a limited liability company registered under the laws of the Republic of Ghana in September, 1990 and was certified to commence business in September, 1991.
COCOBOD, the main regulator of the Ghanaian cocoa industry liberalised the internal marketing of cocoa in 1993, paving the way for private companies to take part in the cocoa business, an industry which for decades had been the sole preserve of Government.
Transroyal taking the advantage of the opportunity avail by COCOBOD applied for, and was granted license by COCOBOD in April, 1993 to participate in the internal marketing of cocoa. The company has since been an active player in the cocoa industry in Ghana. Transroyal operates in almost all the cocoa growing areas in Ghana and has its Administrative Head Office in Accra, and Operational Head Offices in Kumasi, Tema and Takoradi. The company has district buying stations in most cocoa-growing districts in Ghana.
